Our Commitment & Achievement
MSQH Award 2010

Since the inception of the Hospital in 1974, the Hospital has grown and achieved many milestones in its development. This has been through its commitment and the vision of the Hospital to be a centre of excellence, whilst not forgetting the original mission of the founders of this Hospital "to help the sick".

Our commitment towards continuous improvements is to ensure quality medical and nursing care and service. In line with this objective, the Hospital has successfully maintained its Quality Management System certification from SIRIM QAS Sdn Bhd since 1998 and this has been upgraded to MS ISO 9001:2000 in 2001 and MS ISO 9001:2008 in 2009.

In May 2006, the Hospital was successfully awarded its first cycle of a full 3 years Malaysian Hospital Accreditation status from the Malaysian Society for Quality in Health. The second cycle of 3 years Accreditation status was awarded in 2009. This accreditation status affirms Hospital Fatimah's standing as one of the major tertiary private hospitals providing high quality standards of care in Malaysia.

Within the structures of the Hospital's Quality Management System, an established framework has been put in place to monitor, assess and evaluate the effectiveness of our systems and processes to ensure continual improvements.

The Hospital's governing framework incorporates both corporate and clinical governance. Within this framework, the Departments of Medicine, Surgery and Women and Child Health together with Clinical and Hospital Committees assist the Hospital in ensuring optimal outcomes of patient care and service.

Our commitment to the community goes beyond what we have already achieved and our challenge as a stand-alone Hospital, is to strive forward towards greater heights of achievements with the same calling of our founder, Rev. Bro. Peter Friedhofen to continually breathe "new life, new spirit and new impulses" into the Hospital.
