Our Commitment & Achievement
Together with the commitment from Top Management, Consultant Specialists and the combined efforts of all Heads of Departments and staff, the Hospital successfully acquired the prestigious award of MS ISO 9002 Certification by SIRIM QAS Sdn Bhd on 12 November 1998 and it has maintained its certification status to date. The SIRIM certification was upgraded to the MS ISO 9001: 2000 standards in November 2001.
Within the structures of the Quality Management System include the establishment of committees such as:
- Hospital Quality Committee
- Medical Advisory Committee
- Medical Ethics Committee
- Infection Control Committee
- Safety & Health Committee
- Pharmacy Committee
- Welfare Committee
- Mortality Review Committee
- Radiation Safety Committee
These Committees assist in the planning and setting up and review of policies within the Hospital.
The Hospital’s Quality Management Programme approach is based on the involvement of staff being customer focused with emphasis on continual quality improvement and by adopting a factual approach to decision making.
Other systems, which have been established, are the Quality Awareness Programmes, Internal Quality Audits, Occurrence Reporting, Customer Surveys and Quality Assurance Studies.
Hospital Fatimah is working towards meeting the requirements of voluntary Accreditation status under the Malaysian Hospital Accreditation Standards.
