Cardiology Services in Fatimah Hospital encompasses diagnostic, therapeutic pharmacological & percutaneous interventional procedures involving either non-invasive cardiology or interventional cardiology.

NEPHROLOGY (RENAL MEDICINE) SERVICES
1. Haemodialysis
Hospital Fatimah Haemodialysis Centre houses 6 dialysis machines. The Centre is designed in conformance with the Ministry of Health’s guidelines and opens six days a week, 8.00am till 8.00pm excluding Sundays and public holidays. Each patient is managed and cared for by a resident Consultant Nephrologist and a team of qualified nurses at every session.
Besides haemodialysis, Continuous Ambulatory Peritoneal Dialysis (CAPD) is also available for patients who are not suitable for haemodialysis.
2. Care and follow-up of kidney transplant patients
Patients who have undergone kidney transplants can be assessed and followed-up by our resident Consultant Nephrologist.
3. Other kidney problems
We also provide care and treatment for patients who have any other kidney diseases,
including proteinuria (leakage of protein in the urine), glomerulonephritis
(inflammation of the kidneys), urinary tract infection, any level of kidney failure and
to retard or stop the progression of kidney failure, etc.
4. Others
Kidney biopsy service is also available here. It is performed by our Consultant
Nephrologist under real-time ultrasound guidance.
NEUROSURGICAL SERVICES
Neurosurgical services in Hospital Fatimah is complemented by a fully dedicated operating theatre and a neurosurgical ward with a High Dependency Unit facility. In addition to this intensive care facilities (CCU Unit) are also available to manage acute and seriously ill patients with neurosurgical disorders.
Expertise in the following areas are available :-

Obstetrics & Gynaecology SERVICES
We offer complete Obstetrics and Gynaecological services at Hospital Fatimah. There are two resident Obstetrician and Gynaecologists providing 24 hour coverage.
An entire range of antenatal obstetrical care is offered including antenatal screening, amniocentesis and ultrasound services. In addition, there are modern labour rooms providing conducive labour environment supported by operation theatres for all emergencies.
A whole range of gynaecological services from screening to the treatment of major gynaecological problems are being offered.
We also offer gynae-oncological services for patients with conditions relating to cancer. We have a gynae-oncologist experienced in major gynaecological surgeries and chemotherapy.
OPHTHALMOLOGY SERVICES
We are committed to providing comprehensive medical and surgical care for your eyes.
From preventive ophthalmic care and routine eye examinations to surgical /laser treatment of eye diseases, we offer the best possible care for all your vision needs.

Psychiatry SERVICES
Hospital Fatimah Ipoh Psychiatric Services provides services for patients of all ages, from children and adolescents to adults and geriatric patients. Common issues addressed are a wide range of problems in living, such as depression, anxiety, cognitive impairment, relationship and family stress, work related stress, suicidal thoughts, behavioral difficulties, behavioral problems with children, school problems, sleep disturbances, communication problems, obsessions/compulsions, psychosis, sexual problems, drugs and alcohol, medication consultation, medico-legal aspects and many other issues. Aspects of treatment include: mental health assessments, diagnosis, concern, help, and treatment for individuals, couples, families and organizations. All assessments, treatments and admissions are confidential and are accepted on a voluntary basis.
Available services include:-
Outpatient services provide continuing care for patients from first visit to follow-up visits. Individuals may refer themselves or be referred by family, physicians, employers, employee assistance programs, allied health professionals, managed care companies and other caring individuals.
Inpatient hospitalisation - our 12-bedded unit provides a safe and structured environment for individuals who volunteer to be admitted and requiring supervision 24 hours a day. The goal of the inpatient programme is to focus on rapid stabilization in order to facilitate a speedy discharge. Various services are offered through the inpatient programme including general psychiatry services and an intensive treatment programme which may include the use of electroconvulsive therapy treatment (ECT).
24-hour emergency care - we are available for referrals, assessments and admissions 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
Community Education Programmes are provided on mental health topics pertaining to all age groups, from children through older adults to various agencies including nursing homes, industry, business and school departments.
