This 10-bed unit is for the critically ill with mechanical ventilation facilities. It also serves as a Coronary Care Unit.
Facilities include
- Fully equipped resuscitation equipment
- Intra-aortic balloon pump for cardiac assist support
- Internal / external cardiac pacing
- Haemodialysis Method or Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy
- Monitoring facilities at each bed and centrally controlled
High Dependency Unit (HDU)
There is also a separate 4-bed HDU for patients requiring close observation, individually equipped with monitoring facilities.
